Short version: we store your email so we can send you updates about pitch reform. We don't share it, sell it, or do anything else with it. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your record at any time.
Who's responsible
Pitch Reform is an initiative by equals mgmt Ltd, a director representation agency registered in the United Kingdom. If you want to raise anything about how your data is handled, write to scott@equalsmgmt.com.
What we collect
When you sign the manifesto or subscribe to the newsletter, we ask for:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your role (director, production company, agency, brand, other)
- Optional free-text thoughts you choose to share
We don't use cookies for tracking. We don't fingerprint your browser. We don't run advertising pixels.
Why we collect it
Three reasons, all tied to the public campaign:
- To count public support for the three positions in the manifesto.
- To email you when there's genuine news: new writing, coalition updates, movement progress.
- So Scott or someone else at equals mgmt can get back to you if you share a story or a question in the optional comments field.
We will not add you to any mailing list beyond the Pitch Reform updates. If equals mgmt ever launches something else, you will not hear about it here.
Where it lives
Your record is stored in a Supabase database (EU region) and mirrored in Resend for the purpose of sending emails. Both are standard tools used by small companies worldwide. Both are GDPR-compliant and have their own data-handling commitments.
We do not transfer your data outside the UK or EU for any purpose other than the email send itself.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or until the Pitch Reform campaign ends. If the campaign ends, we'll email you to say so and delete the list within 30 days.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- See what we hold on you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your record entirely.
- Stop processing your data.
- Export your data in a readable format.
Email scott@equalsmgmt.com and we'll action it within 30 days. You can also unsubscribe directly from any email we send.
Complaints
If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
